We explain clearly and simply what technical data may be generated when you use Ayvalık FM and how data is processed in Gediz AI and radio broadcasting.
1. What does this policy cover?
This Privacy Policy explains the data processing activities that may arise within ayvalikfm.com digital radio broadcasts, the Gediz AI chat area, weather/sea information and the site's technical functions provided via this website.
Ayvalık FM does not have user accounts, membership or a payment system. A conventional contact form is also not used.
2. What data may be generated?
- Technical access data: When the website, radio stream or a resource on connected services is accessed, standard technical logs such as IP address, browser/device information and request time may be generated by infrastructure providers.
- Radio preferences: Browser local storage (localStorage) may be used to remember the channel you selected.
- Gediz AI data: The message you send to Gediz is transmitted to our Gediz service so that a response can be generated. A session ID may be stored in localStorage, while a short conversation history may be stored in sessionStorage.
- Contact data: If you contact us through an external platform such as Instagram, the information you share there may also be processed under that platform's rules.
3. For what purposes is data used?
- Providing the radio broadcast and site functions,
- Remembering the selected channel and maintaining the user experience,
- Generating a response to a message sent through Gediz AI,
- Ensuring security, detecting errors, preventing misuse and maintaining technical continuity,
- Fulfilling legal obligations.
4. Third-party services
The site may use radio.ayvalikfm.comfor radio broadcasting, gediz.ayvalikfm.comfor Gediz AI, Open-Meteo services for Ayvalık weather and sea data, Unsplash resources for some images, and Instagram as an external link.
Weather/sea data is retrieved using fixed coordinates for Ayvalık; the visitor's device location is not requested. When technical requests are made to third-party resources, those services may process standard connection data under their own policies.
5. Retention and security
The channel preference and Gediz session ID stored in your browser may remain on your device until you clear site data. The browser copy of Gediz conversation history is session-based and subject to the sessionStorage mechanism.
Retention periods for technical logs generated by server, broadcast and service providers may vary according to the security, operational and legal requirements of the relevant infrastructure. Ayvalık FM aims to apply reasonable technical and administrative security measures in systems under its control.
6. Your preferences and rights
